Throughout the year, I conduct art courses and art workshops in my art studio, a welcoming space to relax, create, and share ideas.

Over the years, I’ve also had the pleasure of conducting a variety of art courses, art workshops, artistic projects and sketching tours at the Hugh Lane Gallery, Rua Red and Draíocht.

These experiences have inspired me to continue conducting art courses and workshops at Anca Danila Art Studio, to further bring people together through art and provide a space where they can explore, learn, and share creative experiences.

These sessions are a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon, creating alongside friends or joining a friendly group of creatives to learn, experiment, and inspire one another.

No experience is needed, and all art materials are provided.

I also offer corporate team-building art workshops, designed to spark creativity and collaboration in a relaxed, engaging environment. Previous clients include Facebook, LinkedIn, MCCP Brand Strategy Agency, Pitman Training, and Reputation Inc.

Discover the world of colour through a hands-on art course covering both the theory and practice of colour, colour interaction, contrast, and the concept of harmonious contrast.

The content is inspired by the works of two influential artistic figures in colour theory and art education: Johannes Itten and Josef Albers.

In this art course, we will explore together the role of colours: how we perceive them, how they interact, create contrast, and achieve harmony. Through painting practice, we embark on a journey of perceiving the subtle nuances of colour and life around us.

Josef Albers insisted that:

“Colour, as the most relative medium in art, has innumerable faces or appearances. To study them in their respective interactions, in their interdependence, will enrich our seeing, our world—and ourselves.”

No prior art experience is needed, just curiosity and an interest in exploring creativity.

A Beginner’s Exploration of the Art of Portraiture: 2-Day Portraiture Course

Explore the fundamentals of portrait drawing in this beginner-friendly 2 day art course, taking place over two consecutive Sundays.

Designed for everyone with little or no drawing experience, as well as those wishing to improve their skills, the course covers essential techniques for creating realistic portraits, capturing the likeness of the model, with a focus on facial proportions, facial features, anatomy, and shading methods.

For the 2nd session we draw also with a Life Model.

Join this untaught life drawing sessions, working with a live model through poses of varying lengths.

While the session is untaught, guidance is available for anyone who requests it during the session. Easels, paper, and basic drawing materials are provided.

Refreshments (tea, water, and biscuits) are also available during the session.

Sessions run on Tuesday evenings from 18:30 to 20:30, and Sundays from 14:00 - 16:00.

In this hands-on art workshop, you’ll transform a garment of your choice into your very own wearable artwork.

Whether it’s a t-shirt, shirt, jacket, trousers, or denim piece, you’ll learn to paint, decorate, and personalize it with fabric paints, brushes, and markers.

This workshop is designed for everyone, no previous art experience is needed.

All art materials are provided, along with a surprise gift, and refreshments including tea, coffee, and water.

You can also book this workshop as a private event, perfect for spending a Sunday afternoon creating alongside friends, co-workers, or family members.

What to bring: One or more garments you’d like to paint on (white or bright colours work best for vibrant results).
