Art classes
Art classes are ongoing, open to all skill levels, and you can join anytime based on your availability.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll find a supportive and inspiring environment to develop your skills.
I teach a wide range of painting and drawing techniques, offering personalised guidance tailored to your skill level, style preferences, chosen subjects, and preferred mediums.
You can choose from oil, acrylic, or watercolour painting, mixed media techniques, and drawing with pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, or soft pastels. Whether you want to master a specific technique or explore a variety of artistic styles, I’ll guide you every step of the way.
The most important thing for me is that you experience the joy of creating and the satisfaction of achievement.
Art classes for adults
Art classes are designed for all skill levels and can be joined at any time throughout the year.
Each session lasts 2 hours and takes place on evenings and weekends. The schedule is flexible, you can book week to week and change the day based on your availability.
Classes are kept small, with 9 students per session, to ensure focused, personalised guidance for every participant. There’s always a relaxed ambiance, with music playing in the background as we work.
Group classes provide a welcoming, nurturing environment where all students work on their individual projects while learning together. Every student receives one-to-one instruction tailored to their skill level, chosen subject, and preferred medium.
You can explore a variety of artistic styles and techniques, working in mediums ranging from drawing (pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, soft pastels) to painting (oil, acrylic, or watercolor).
Students also have the opportunity to learn foundational skills in academic drawing and painting, while I work individually with each student to ensure they develop at their own pace and pursue their own goals.
These classes also offer the chance to become part of a supportive community of learners, where students of different skill levels can inspire and learn from one another by observing new techniques and styles in action.

Adult art classes
For your first class, all you need to bring is a small canvas if you want to paint in acrylic or oil. You can buy a canvas from shops near the studio, Brand Element (available at Eason) or any other brand from K&Evans art supply shop. Make sure it’s a good canvas, as this is important for achieving a good painting result.
I will provide all other painting materials, including oil and acrylic paints and brushes, for the first class only.
If you prefer to take only a few classes, there is a 6 Euro fee for art materials per painting classes in acrylic or oil.
If you prefer to draw (pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, soft pastels) or paint in watercolour, I will provide all the materials you need for the first class.
After the first class, based on the subject, technique, and medium you’ll focus on, I’ll provide a tailored list of art materials to buy so you only purchase what you really need.

Yes, my art classes are suitable for all levels, including absolute beginners. Each student receives individual guidance throughout the art class based on their skill level, chosen subject, technique, and medium.
Even if some students are experienced, everyone often tries new techniques or mediums, so there’s always a welcoming environment for experimenting and learning.
-
It depends on your own learning style. In my group art classes, all students receive individual guidance, but if you prefer one-to-one instruction or want to kick-start your learning before joining the group art classes, private art classes might be the right choice for you.

Academic drawing is a technique used to create realistically proportioned drawings. Its goal is to achieve accuracy in proportions, anatomy, and perspective.
This approach teaches observational skills and helps students gradually develop the experience to quickly and accurately render the subject of their drawing or painting.
The academic approach provides an excellent foundation for all artistic styles, giving students the skills to build confidence and control in their work over time.

If you want to work with representative or realistic techniques, some measuring is necessary, and the academic approach provides a strong foundation for many techniques—even some you might not expect!
That said, there are different ways to measure, and I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student’s learning style.
We’ll work together to find an approach that works for you. There are also many art styles that rely less on measuring and observation, so you can still enjoy creating even if measuring isn’t your favourite part!

Yes, you can focus on a specific subject in my art classes. Even in a group setting, each student receives personalised guidance tailored to their skill level, preferred technique, and chosen medium.
You will work on your own project, throughout the class, while I provide one-to-one support to each student throughout the art class, guiding you to develop your own artistic skill at your own pace, and bring your ideas to life.

Artwork Storage Guidelines
I absolutely love seeing your artworks in the studio, they bring so much colour and creativity to the space!
As space is limited, I kindly ask that everyone follows a few simple guidelines to ensure there is room for everyone’s work:
· Duration: While attending classes, your artwork may remain in the studio. If you are unable to attend for more than one month, please collect your artwork.
· Large Canvases (over 80cm x 80cm): These can remain in the studio from week to week while you are actively working on them. Once completed, they may be stored for up to two additional weeks before collection.
· Storage Limit: I can only store artworks for up to one month for students not attending classes. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep artworks beyond this time.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping make the studio such an inspiring place with your wonderful artworks!
