At Anca Danila Art Studio, we celebrate creativity and community, by organising two exhibitions each year, showcasing the amazing artworks created by the students. These events are a great way to celebrate achievements and talent, while also offering a special opportunity to connect beyond the studio’s art classes.
The exhibitions bring our community together, students, friends, families, and art lovers, creating space to share, support, and be inspired by one another.
For newcomers, they are the perfect chance to engage with the artistic community formed in the studio and experience the joy of art in a warm, welcoming setting.

Sunday Sketching Tours & Get-Together
24 March 2025
& 3rd November 2024
Venue
Hugh Lane Gallery & Anca Danila Art Studio
The Sunday Sketching Tours and Get-Together were a wonderful opportunity to sketch, connect, and explore art outside of our regular studio classes.
With the support of the Hugh Lane Gallery and their education department, participants enjoyed a guided sketching tour focused on selected artworks in the gallery. This format encouraged drawing directly in front of the pieces while gaining a deeper understanding of the subjects and the wider artistic context.
On these occasions, we explored Sarah Purser’s exhibition, as well as highlights such as Francis Bacon (his studio and artworks) and Claude Monet’s Lavacourt under Snow (c. 1878–81), all of which offered rich inspiration for sketching and discussion.
After the tour, everyone gathered back at the studio for an informal get-together, a chance to chat, share ideas, and connect as a community.
A warm thank you to the Hugh Lane Gallery for making these events possible, and to everyone who joined us for such a creative and inspiring afternoons.
